About this Position:

As a Data Analyst within the Prototype Build Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of vehicle programmes by delivering robust insights and enabling efficiencies in prototype builds. By extracting key data trends and visualising them effectively, you will bridge engineering and supply chain operations, ensuring timely and efficient project execution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence early-stage prototype development processes while pushing the boundaries of vehicle design and technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support Build Engineers with KPI and status reporting to ensure the successful planning and delivery of prototype builds.
  • Operate and manage the inventory management system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide data-driven insights into the status of current and upcoming prototype builds, focusing on achieving on-time delivery.
  • Familiarise yourself with existing team and business processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) across projects and prototypes, ensuring accuracy and timely updates in line with design changes.
  • Identify operational challenges and drive solutions through clear communication and analytical insights.
  • Actively contribute to a safe working environment, adhering to Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSoW) and Health & Safety policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering and supply chain goals.

Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modelling to interpret complex datasets related to project KPIs, BOMs, and inventory management.
  • Excellent IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Expertise in data visualisation and manipulation tools, such as:
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Microsoft Power Query
    • Microsoft Azure
  • Experience using SAP products is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
