About the position 

We are currently working with a leader in advanced system integration who optimise energy efficiency and deliver performance on a massive scale. Working with companies within some of the most highly regulated and challenging industrial environments, and focus on delivering critical projects across energy, water, renewables and manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for enthusiastic & experienced engineers to join our existing Energy team to perform all aspects software design, development and implementation for PLC based control and/or SCADA systems.
  • The role will require the successful candidate work in a team on all aspects of a project lifecycle for the delivery of PLC and SCADA/DCS systems primarily in the renewable power generation and storage industry.
  • Projects include upgrades of systems to latest versions, modification of systems for extensions and improvements as well as new build projects.
  • The candidate should have proven main-stream control automation experience across several previous projects utilising the technology platforms listed below.

Experience Required:

  • Experience using at least one of the following technologies:
  • Siemens PCS7 Automation Stations.
  • Siemens TIA Portal for S7 PLCs.
  • Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix utilising Studio 5000.
  • Schneider M580/M340 utilising EcoStruxure Control Expert.
  • Experience /Advanced SCADA Configuration skills using at least one of the following applications: –
  • Siemens PCS7 OS.
  • COPA-DATA Zenon.
  • Siemens WinCC.
  • Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE.
  • Codra Panorama.
  • Experience of producing Function Design Specifications, System/Detailed Design Specifications and Test Specifications.
  • Experience of writing software to IEC61131 utilising ladder, function block diagram, sequential function chart and structured text.
  • Experience of performing Internal and Customer Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle working to QA procedures.
  • Willingness to travel and work away when required.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
