My client is looking to recruit a Machine Shop Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring that all components utilised within the organisation comply with relevant specifications, drawings and documentation. Previous experience of working in a Quality Inspection role, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment, including experience of metrology/calibration/FARO Arm CMM would be an advantage.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• Ensuring that all machined components within the Machine Shop are to an acceptable standard, specification and approved drawings.
• Inspecting all machined components to drawings ensuring they are to the highest standard of quality.
• Management of the instruments calibration system.
• Completing inspections, assessments and providing documented reports clearly identifying deficiencies and non-conformance to specifications and drawings.
• Completion of technical machine shop inspection using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment (in addition to basic mechanical measurement activities).
• Complete inspection of spares and repairs components.
