A Midlands-based Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in bespoke mechanical systems. As a small company with an exemption, we offer flexibility and the opportunity to work closely with a tight-knit team on long-term projects.

Role Description

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Installation/Commissioning Engineers to join our team for a large-scale, long-term project. This role is ideal for engineers who excel in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. This is not a general laborer position (no hammer swingers). Instead, we are looking for skilled engineers with a technical focus who can collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment on-site
  • Conducting tests, troubleshooting, and ensuring proper system performance
  • Collaborating with project managers, technicians, and other engineers to ensure timely and quality project delivery
  • Adhering to health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with OEM requirements
  • Providing technical support and expertise during installation and commissioning phases
  • Working independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and professionally

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical installation and commissioning in an OEM or similar environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on-site in a team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to project requirements and timelines

Contract Details

  • Hourly Rate: £20-£25 per hour depending on experience
