In this role, the engineer will be conducting installation design to stress analysis of the fluid systems from concept schematic draft level to detail maturity level of the fuel system.

The roles and responsibilities include

  • This roles key responsibility is to design and develop efficient fuel system for aircraft.
  • 1D Model preparation from schematic level performance model. Developing detail 3D fuel system model using Siemens NX design software.
  • Method development for translating data and interfaces from NX to the CAEPIPE or relevant piping software.
  • Modeling, analysis and simulation of the fluid systems using CAEPIPE software or relevant for performing linear and non-linear static and dynamic piping stress analyses and checking the piping system for compliance with a host of piping codes Identify potential risks, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions to optimise system performance.
  • Understanding and deriving aero-systems loading conditions, load cases and combinations.
  • Conducting linear, non-linear static and fatigue analysis of fuel systems and components.
  • Hand calculation to verify, validate and justify computational finite element analysis and results.
  • Basic knowledge in fluid flow behavior and prediction techniques is an added advantage.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant aviation regulations, industry standards, and certification requirements for aircraft fuel systems.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration of the fuel system with the overall aircraft structures and systems.
  • Ability to work independently, being pro-active, communicate effectively understand the problem, use engineering judgment to simplify the problem, interact with stakeholders.
  • Writing technical report including system requirements, design specifications, test plans and reports detailing the analysis methods and results

Technical Skills

The candidate is expected to have a good knowledge of Aircraft Fluid Systems, CAD Design, Pipe Modelling, Pipe Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or any relevant The candidate possess the following skills are added value ? Strong knowledge of aircraft fuel systems, fuel storage, distribution and transfer. ? Product design / Installation design using NX CAD or any relevant tools. ? Pipe modelling, analysis and optimisating using a Piping software ? Analytical calculation and methods development skills

Soft Skills:

? Excellent communication skills and customer interaction skills. ? Good Verbal and written English skills. ? Good Team player.

Software Skills:
? Siemens NX CAD, CAEPIPE or relevant pipe modelling and analysis software
