My client is a world leader in outdoor digital signage solutions providing urban environments with the tools they need to become the cities of the future. This role sits within the Manufacturing Engineering team with a focus on manufacturing support
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide production technical support
- Assist with NPI builds and provide design for assembly feedback to the design engineering team
- Ensure appropriate BOM structures and routing are applied and maintained to support manufacturing
- Create and implement assembly methods and provide detailed work instructions
- Design and implement production assembly jigs and fixtures
- Design and implement custom workstations
- Provide data analysis to identify fault trends and prioritise corrective actions
- Add and maintain ERP BoMs and product structures
- Implement relevant product changes and verify BoM accuracy
- Install, setup and maintain production line tools and equipment
- Define and implement preventive maintenance procedures
- Align manufacturing processes to comply with best health and safety practice
Qualifications:
- GCSE’s in Maths, Science subjects
- Technical Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Science, Manufacturing Engineering) or relevant industry related experience
Skills/Experience:
- 2-3 years in a similar manufacturing support role
- Experience of electronic test and automated systems is an advantage
- Lean manufacturing techniques, ideally a standard work tool champion
- ERP systems, BOM structures and assembly routing
- Mechanical CAD viewing and design software
Personal Attributes:
- Must have excellent IT productivity tool knowledge (MS Office tools, Excel, Word etc)
- Good written and communication skills
- A background of electro-mechanical module assembly
- Able to demonstrate an ability for problem solving
- Proficient data analysis skills
- Self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team environment
- Mechatronics skills are an advantage
