Field Operations Technician

- My client is looking to recruit a service engineer and the role will be split between site and field based requiring skills in diagnosing, identifying and resolving issues in electronics and electromechanical assemblies. Technical experience in supporting products and maintenance operation in the field is a requirement.
- The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:
- Providing field support to clients for maintenance, service, fault finding and repair of outdoor screens (UK & Europe) to meet customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Identifying, investigating and understanding the root cause of product issues
- Working with all stakeholders to continually improve product quality
- Supporting the introduction of new products (and auxiliary kit) including assessing prototypes and advising improvements
- Where required, supporting and working with the engineering and factory teams
- Providing input to technical documentation
- Aiding the training and education of clients
- Ensure work is carried in a safe manner adhering to Health & Safety Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Processes.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- You should have a minimum of three years electronics experience and an ability to use and apply documentation tools. Desirable is experience in technical support in the field and manufacturing test of electronic, electrical and mechanical products as well as remote monitoring software and an understanding of civil works. Also desirable is a knowledge of IT and communication networking.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find and problem solve on PC/electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, strong communication and customer service skills. A pragmatic and analytical approach are also key attributes along with working independently and being a team player.
- You should be qualified in line with experience; a degree in a related technical/engineering subject or Time Served Qualification supporting relevant experience is desirable.
- A flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel is required.
