Service Engineer

The role:
- The service engineer will be based at my clients Coventry head-office and be required to work at their wide UK/overseas client base; Servicing and maintaining the client plant/machines as part of service agreements and one-off service visits
Job responsibilities:
- Scheduled servicing of manual and automated plant at our client works including; cleaning, inspection and testing as per their standard procedures
- Complete detailed survey of plant/machines at client sites, detailing faults and requirements for repairs
- Repairs/maintenance of manual and automated plant at their client works
- Installations of manual and automated plant at client works
- System testing and commissioning
- Generate/specify detailed material list for service, maintenance and installation works
- Completion of detailed service reports and job related documentation
- Promote company and services, to the client when on-site and during correspondence when working with/at the client
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
- Apply where appropriate Clients, Quality, Health, Safety, Environment Policy and Management System
- Other duties that may be requested in association with the company’s business
Skills:
- Mechanical/Electrical qualified engineer, preference being electrically biased
- Proficiency and experience in pneumatics, heating, cooling, control systems pumping systems, process valves, instrumentation, steam heating system etc.
- Experience installing large capital equipment products
- Demonstrated experience working with PLC’s, HMI and SCADA systems
- Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and P & ID drawings
- Ability to work under pressure, with tight schedules necessitating extra hours at times: weekend and ‘unsocial’ hours are often required, particularly where equipment is in 24-hour operation
- Willingness to travel overseas when required
