About this Position:

Work for the worlds largest helicopter manufacturer. Responsible for Part M/A8-25 medium/short term planning requirements, Part 145/A8-23 material planning requirements and the production of work-packs to support aircraft scheduled maintenance inputs. Review of Aircraft base maintenance work packages prior to A/C departure. Update of Maintenance tracking system post maintenance interventions. The Part M/A8-25 planner is also responsible for raising and the upkeep of the maintenance forecasting sheet(s).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all appropriate legislative and Company procedures are adhered to in order to ensure that the Company remains compliant and the aircraft airworthy
  • Liaise with Technical Records, the Maintenance Team and other key departments to ensure a common understanding of capability and capacity
  • Enter Technical log utilisation data onto the Maintenance system
  • Review of allocated Aircraft status reports on a weekly basis to ensure full maintenance programme compliance is maintained
  • Identify provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft based on projected utilisation and update the in-house maintenance planning calendar with ‘Provisional’ maintenance dates
  • Review material requirements against provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft
  • Raise reservations/purchase requisitions for missing materials
  • Liaise with Customer Support Managers to confirm maintenance dates with the owner/operator
  • Liaise with the Airworthiness Department for accomplishment of ADs, SBs, EOS and related airworthiness requirements
  • Raise scheduled maintenance workpacks to support regulatory compliance and confirm required materials and necessary documentation are available for allocated aircraft
  • Review of prepared work specifications and workpacks for maintenance inputs to ensure that aircraft downtimes are minimised
  • Approve Scheduled inspection task cancellations
  • Ensure that prior to Aircraft departing from Base Maintenance inputs, all planned maintenance has been accomplished, liaise with Customer Support Managers to highlight any tasks not carried out and that the task are still in compliance with the AMP
  • Issue ‘Out of Phase’ item forecast for each aircraft
  • Reset Maintenance tasks on the ERP software
  • Performance of other duties as detailed by the Maintenance Planning Supervisor

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of EASA regulations relating to Part M and Part 145 Airworthiness and Maintenance requirements
  • High computer literacy skills, competent with MS Office and/or google digital suite
  • Compliant with ITAR regulations and eligible for UK security clearance
  • minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within the aviation industry in a Planning role.
  • Experience with SAP and an ERP software, for the use of Technical Records, Planning and Maintenance
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above or equivalent academic qualification in Aviation related discipline (NVQ, BTEC, HNC/D)
