About this position: 

Digital Manufacturing Centre is part of the KW Group and is a company supplying high end quality metal and Polymer additive manufacturing production parts to industry sectors such as Aerospace, Land Transport, Space, Defence and Medical. The DMC is based around engineering innovation and aspires of being the best in class for the UK market in the next 5 years.

This high-end facility offers a range of Polymer and Metal Additive Manufacturing Technologies across industries including Automotive, Space, Defence, Medical & Industrial and they are now at the stage where they are looking for key hires for the facility. 

They are now seeking another Quality Technician to join their team.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Production Quality Support:
  • Creating standard and bespoke inspection documents and reports (inc. FAIR’s).
  • Inspection and testing materials, components and assemblies.
  • Support to address internal NCR’s.
• Customer Quality Management:
  • Processing Concessions
  • Assisting with complaint management, customer audits completing NCR’s and 8D reports, interfacing with customer when required.
  • Customer supplier item control.
• Supplier Quality Management:
  • Processing concessions, SCAR’s and follow-up of supplier quality issues.
  • Performing supplier audits.
• Assisting with activities to manage skills competencies and training:
  • Participate in quality training activities.
  • Manage authorisation levels and approval stamps.
  • Assist with control of calibrations item.
• Supporting product and process monitoring and improve activities:
  • Participating in CA and CI projects.
  • Carrying out internal audits (inc. surveillance).
  • Documentation support (e.g. with procedures and local work instructions).

Experience Required:

• Previous experience of working as a quality Technician
• Experience within an Automotive, Additive or Aerospace business ideally
• Good attention to detail
