They are now seeking a Current Product Engineer to join the Stereolithography Engineering team based in Aylesbury.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Design & Development of current products
- Increase quality, reliability, and serviceability by designing improvements for existing products
- Management of product documentation and BOMs
- Optimize and manage design changes for contract manufacturing and full turnkey
- Support the Production line on an on-going basis including managing escalations
- Serve as technical link between Operations, Customer Support and R&D
- Support current product revitalizations and improvements
- Coordinate and participate with local and abroad R&D teams on design for manufacturability and implementation of existing products in the production line
- Monitor and interact with R&D project managers, system engineers and designers to optimise design for Operations needs
- Lead cost savings through hardware redesigns
- Design new jigs and fixtures for current products
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant discipline, plus minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in mechanical design / production environment, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, machining & weldments
- Experience in material selection, tolerancing and surface finishes
- Good understanding of design for manufacturability and knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Experience in producing detailed drawings for manufacture • Inquisitive and natural desire to learn
