About this position: 

The world’s largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of powertrain systems (hybrid, combustion engine, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines and their integration into the vehicle.
AVL is seeking an experienced engineer with pro-active attitude, self-learner and highly motivated. You will be responsible for validation and sign-off for future generation vehicle systems and features.

You will work on the right-hand side of the System V model, integrating testing and validating electrical, mechanical and software vehicle systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Validation and sign-off of vehicle systems and their interactions with other sub-systems
• Test, development and troubleshooting of new mechanical, electrical, software and calibration deliveries
• Support the development of the electrical and electronic architectures
• Full vehicle commissioning and testing

Experience Required:

• Relevant degree in Engineering or technical subject e.g. Mechatronics
• Automotive engineering knowledge of test, development, validation and integration of vehicle powertrain systems
• Knowledge of vehicle powertrain and components fundamentals
• Experience of automotive control systems and calibration
• Relevant engineering experience
• Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team
• Experience in design, integration, test, verification and control or a higher academic degree (e.g. MSc, PhD) relating to automotive, electronics, control, automation
• Experience in hybrid powertrain area
• Relevant engineering experience in test and systems engineering
• Knowledge of electrified powertrain and vehicle systems
