About this position:

My client is an engineering consultancy that helps their customers accelerate the development and deployment of Net Zero engineering solutions for their customers in the mobility sector and beyond. This client is massively growing and are looking for a Technical Project Lead to be responsible for the overall engineering delivery of project(s) in accordance with the agreed customer requirements and business objectives from inception, through the entire project lifecycle to final customer acceptance & sign-off.

Responsibilities:

• To lead the engineering project team to ensure that the design & development of the integrated engineering solution is compatible with customer requirements and business objectives
• Act as primary customer technical interface, managing the delegation of engineering responsibility amongst the engineering team as appropriate, and leading the review and negotiation of changes & deviations to requirements with the customer
• To ensure that design & development of the integrated engineering solution will meet the agreed customer and stakeholder requirements, from initial concept, through design and development, system verification and final validation
• To lead the requirements management process, the definition, decomposition and balancing of all stakeholder needs, and to ensure that project requirements are achieved with successful final customer sign-off
• Responsible for the management of all engineering opportunities, risks & issues, leading issue resolution & risk mitigation planning 
   

Skills Required:

• Relevant experience in a senior engineering role with proven experience of technical team leadership, engineering project delivery and management of technical projects
• Experience in the management of technical projects & associated project management best practice processes (preferably APMP-qualified or similar)
• Experience in the application of the systems engineering V-diagram & associated engineering best practice processes
• Experience with customer stakeholder requirements management, decomposition & target balancing 
• Experience in delivering project quality, cost, function & weight to target
• Experience of client management and business development
