Job responsibilities:

Leading the development of new equipment to take our production to the next level. 
Taking a critical view to challenge the status quo and develop solutions to support continuous improvement. You will have a significant impact on our production quality, productivity and delivery speed to customers.
Developing automation concepts and equipment upgrades including prototyping where applicable.
Actively leading in the identification and selection of suitable outsourcing partners for specialist external equipment builds.
Overseeing equipment (CAPEX) projects from identification until successful completion of SAT and delivering on time to budget.
Supporting the introduction and maintenance of technical documentation.
Skills permitting, the programming of PLC, design of user interfaces and failure analysis and rectification.

Experience required:

Bachelors’ degree, preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable courses.
Proven experience in automated manufacturing equipment concept development and outsourcing – ideally in a specialized field of mechanical batch processing.
Strong project management skills including the management of external partners and overseeing FAT and SAT. 
Awareness of key occupational H&S requirements for the implementation of automated manufacturing equipment. 
Creating business case studies combined with strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to drive and influence change of existing practices. 
PLC (TrioMotion, Omron, Mitsubishi, Red Lion (HMI), Siemens) and ethernet connection experience.
Experience in creating P&L flow charts and sizing EI&C components (incl. safety relevant components).
