About this position: 

You will be working for a fast-growing space start-up based in Harwell and London with a mission to develop an innovative, dual-stage in-space satellite servicing vehicle to provide affordable access to new orbits for SmallSats and ultimately satellite life extension services in Earth orbits and beyond.

Job Responsibilities:

• To provide in orbit servicing missions, autonomous, reliable, and safe in-orbit rendezvous proximity operations and docking is required.
• This position will be focusing on mechanical design, electromechanical prototyping, and system design skills. 
• The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out all areas ranging from designing in CAD, to manufacturing prototypes, to building hardware that performs an innovative in-orbit satellite servicing operations.

Experience Required:

• Experience in electromechanical component configuration and testing
• Able to work in a fast-paced startup environment and can handle stress
• Excellent technical communications skills (written/verbal)
• Familiarity with ECSS standards
• Practical experience in developing mechanical equipment for satellites
• Knowledge of satellite/spacecraft system development
• Master’s degree in either Mechanical Engineering, Space Engineering, or related disciplines
