This company based on the south coast in Shoreham-By-Sea is looking for a Systems Engineer to act as the primary owner of nominated systems between the departments.

With this company you will be working to deliver a new innovative concept in ultra-lightweight diesel engines within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This company’s goal is to be recognised as the brand that powers the future of the global marine industry, through sustainable innovation. Having begun production in May 2020, the new product is becoming hugely popular in the market and demand is on the rise.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of nominated system(s) to meet the defined requirements 
• Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, external and internal, involved in the development of their system, such as suppliers, customers, regulatory boards etc
• Organisation of meetings with relevant stakeholders as appropriate

Experience Required:

• Strong track record of developing components/systems in their career history 
• Demonstrable ability to review existing systems from benchmark products and deduce the functions of their features and components 
• Experience in planning activities and delivering to those plans 
• A working knowledge of internal combustion engines and watercraft would be an advantage 
• Experience of the development of painted A&B-Surface panel and latch systems would be an advantage
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and/or Polarion software would be an advantage
• Experience in compiling Design FMEAs, Technical Specifications and functional validation plans for components/systems would be an advantage
