About this position: 

We currently have a great opportunity for an Electro-mechanical Engineer on a contract basis with a Global Company.

You will be expected to act as technical lead carrying out electro-mechanical Integration activities as required by the business on maritime systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Electro-mechanical Design
• Design of Networking interconnections
• Full Lifecycle Project Experience

Experience Required:

• Strong relevant experience that can be applied to electrical and electro-mechanical design in an Inboard (dry) sub-sea / surface ship platform environment. 
• Design of associated copper (electrical) / fibre (optical) network interconnections, cable and harness assemblies, power distribution and data comms. 
• Full engineering lifecycle experience (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing). 
• Experience of designing to meet EMC and environmental requirements. 
• Experience of producing electrical designs and certifying designs compliant with RoHS and REACH Directives, to meet EMC and environmental requirements and to comply with the LV Directive. 
• Experience in Designing cables and harness assemblies, utilizing military-style connectors and backshells, such as MIL-DTL-38999.  
• Experience of producing Technical Files and certification to meet CE / UK CA marking requirements in a structured and evidential manner
