About this position: 

The company is currently sitting at the cutting edge of automation in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector – Developing automated R&D platforms, products, custom automated solutions and software solutions for our international customer base. Due to rapid growth and expansion, they are seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer to join our team of highly talented engineers based in the Farnborough, UK office. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, this role is predominantly a hardware design role with the potential for limitless growth inside a fast paced, dynamic and expanding organisation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Electrical Design of Automated Systems

Experience Required:

• Dedicated professional with Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience
• An understanding of relevant British, European and International standards and understand the implications on design
• Working knowledge of different communication protocols including TCP/IP, RS232 and Fieldbus systems
• Electrical panel design experience, implementing common industrial control techniques including PLC’s, sensors, distributed IO, servo control and some pneumatic experience
• Capable of simultaneously working on multiple different projects, managing and prioritising own workload
• Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills. Solution oriented, autonomous and proactive working style
• Self-motived and organized, with effective time management, presentation and leadership skills, and adept in solving/troubleshooting complex problems as well as the ability to navigate a fast-paced work environment
• A high level of personal accountability and integrity
